If Nill is high on him he won’t hesitate to move up I could see lundkvist and our #29 pick being used to move up

I would hope so, but what's tough is that what's the cost of moving up that isn't offset by what's lost if someone takes him sooner? I support moving up 100 percent mind you, but Dallas would want to be sure, and I think they'd need to trade a good eight spots up if they wanted that. Not sure what that's worth but it probably won't be an extra pick since Dallas doesn't have a lot of that.

What odds do we put on Elick being available at 29?

Kyrou is another Lundqvist? Isn't Lundqvist another Honka?

Slim. He'll probably in the area where Bichsel went, so somewhere between #18-#25. The only reason I'm profiling him is that despite where I expect him to be picked, nobody has him ranked that high. So there's still a chance he'll be there. And to be fair, this draft is super deep, so you never know. Still, I feel like K'Andre Miller is the ceiling on players like this and where we can expect to see them picked in the future.

As far as Kyrou, yea. He's a small puck mover who lacks speed and skating. Sounds like Lundkvist. (Honka's problems were very different; super agile, not great acceleration though, but was a puck hog)

Great aricle! Elick would be a perfect fit for Stars prospect pool but he may not be available. And I don't think they would trade down for a "shutdown" defenceman in most cases.

But this year they have only 1 pick in first 4 rounds and they want to make it count. If Elick is their guy they might try it.
