David, I am one of those people who typically prefer written articles but in this case I really like your podcast approach. I believe it creates many more interesting talking points that you could not cover in a written article.
Your cap hit comment on Seguin is spot on and applies to Benn as well. They have both evolved into players who understand their limitations and know how they fit in the Stars system. And most of those people who complain about their cap hit are the same ones who would have ripped Nill a new asshole if he had not signed them to fair contracts at he time they were awarded.
I also had never realized what a big, strong , fast, high IQ, great hands player Duchene was. He also appears to be a very articulate and thoughtful player on his role with the Stars. I am glad now that that Domi wanted more money allowing Duchene to be signed for a ridiculous 3 Million. Perfect complement to Seguin.
Also agree on Suter. I find him to be marginally ok only because Miro makes up for his deficiencies. He is decent on the PK because he only has to cover half the rink.
David , one more comment. Lundkvist appeared to play very little in the the third period. I think this is BS as I think he plays 5 on 5 defense as well as Suter and Hakanpaa and would provide better zone exits and transitions.
Good on Seguin for getting the tieing goal and setting up Duchenes over-timer with a slick pass at speed. Both goals from his working with Duchene! I’m glad to see it so now I can stop the Glendenning comparisons. :))).
You asked for feedback, I have that from my perspective but it doesn’t really land with a strong opinion... I think you write so well and coherently that I really enjoy it due mainly to not being a “reporter” of game play rather a philosophical interpreter of the game and it’s processes. So from a quality of delivery standpoint your writing is top notch. That comes with a caveat that leads into why I actually really enjoy the looser less edited and cut down train of thought you put out in the podcast format. I get more of a barroom conversation with many thoughts that may not be as fleshed out but can spur more questions and thoughts due to simply being more topics in the digressions and tangents. So if I had it my way I’d say write the stuff you really want to investigate and consider while podcasting after games in a stream of consciousness form that is inherently unfinished and unvarnished. I can read a game recap anywhere and I do but frankly it’s only because I need mindless content to consume with coffee and jazz in the morning before work. Your writing takes thought, for you to make and for us to properly consider, the podcast stray thoughts give me inconsequential (to real life) thoughts to process and finish myself before bed.
Really appreciate the nuanced feedback Joshua. Rambling is never useless.
Funny thing is that I thought I'd be gassed by writing the Stray Observation stuff, but once I figured out the format (write the summarizing thoughts at the beginning and wait until the game finishes while finishing up the strays early) it was a breeze. So it really makes no difference for me workload wise. For me it just comes down to what makes the most sense for subscribers.
I may start experimenting with podcasts on single players or other teams, but we'll see. Either way thanks for the support.

Thanks for the feedback. And observations!

Robo appears to be trying too hard to make it happen. I.e Forcing low % passes.

Hold on, could some chemistry be developing???
Great pick up by Nill.

Likely useless rambling but if it helps, great.
