I think the major question for Bourque & Company is, how much did they value him winning the AHL MVP and when could they call him up and be secure in the resume?
Not wrong. I think his ultimate point was that Dallas' blueline issues haven't been enough to sink them thanks to their offensive control of the puck. Which is largely true. Even with the blueline they have, we're talking about a Western Conference Finalist, and possibly the best team in the Central. I hate a lot of things about the blueline but I see what he's saying in terms of -- Dallas has a lot of layers to mask its lack of depth between several of its blueline players and the offensive depth.
That might work during the season, but will it work for the PO?
For example, with Nuke back and Landeskog getting slowly ready, on which team would you bet between Dallas and Colorado? That is, with our actual blue line.
Thanks for re-sharing in Modano article, David. Somehow this one slip past me on the first go round.
Brief as it was, I'm latching onto that Bourque mention and not letting go.
Benn-Hintz-Bourque needs to see the ice before season's end. Especially if it makes Robertson-Johnston-Stankoven a thing.
Hintz-Bourque has potential to every bit as dangerous as Johnston-Stankoven.

Very interesting discussion.
Am I wrong in saying that I got a feeling that Jack Han did not feel that we had important issues at the blue line?
