Love the AHL coverage. It seems fairly non existent elsewhere which is frustrating.

Ha! My own sentence structure fails me.

Putting Kyrou on the B tier is crazy. His play has been cotton-soft. He consistently lets skaters into the zone with no contact, and more often than not can be found lazing along with no awareness of what is going on. My teeth clench every time his skates hit the ice.

Kind of explained my tier system in the opening graphs. Being in the B tier has nothing to do with performance, but pedigree.

"These tiers are not entirely performance-based. They're also projection-based."

I understood the assignment, but I don't see how you can be projecting Kyrou to be a good player when he clearly is not playing like an even average player. Also, if they're not performance-based, but also not entirely performance-based, then we have a conundrum.

I'm not projecting Kyrou to be good based on his performance. I'm just giving him the benefit of the doubt based on his pedigree. If this were the end of the year, and we had 71 games in the books, yea, this system wouldn't make a lot of sense. But a handful of games don't warrant a proper midterm grade. Maybe I'll just do a straight report card next time but this was just easier for me to organize based on traditional prospect tiers (which granted, should have just been Tier I, II, and so forth). It's possible I just drop him out of the B tier if he keeps up like this, and that can be its own talking point, but either way - it'll get sorted.
