Jamie off the top PP at least for a bit I believe is easy… you say Dutch and that’s easy but it leaves precious few entry options on the second and more importantly for me it breaks up that second line running PP2. Wyatt is on the second unit and plays seamlessly with most of the top line who also runs PP1 why not simply switch Jamie and Johnny keeping Al the chemistry together and in fact going heavy on PP2 with both Mush and Jamie making havoc while Harls and Segs shoot, seems like a no brainer.
Also I’m growing quite tired of the lazy take about the Beenaissance and all his points but forgetting that few goals came from 5v5 while his D was covered by Johnny. He can be useful but let’s stop wondering where the dominant Johnston line went when it really wasn’t. It was not a successful line rather a successful departure from what Benn had done for years.
I believe that Johnston needs to be on the top line but that means a legit 3rd line center is required for Benn and Pavs. If Nill isn't going to call up Borque, do you see a potential trade target for a 3rd line center as Steel (nothing against his talents) does not cut it for this role in my opinion. Of course, a RD is priority but is Nill going to pay the resources for this player and a productive third line would be the next best option.
Do you slot faksa here and try to run a more aggressive e 4th line of steel smith and dell? This turns them into a stealth 3rd line but with special teams minutes the highly paid line ends up with more minutes than the dirt cheap line. Seriously they are < 50% of Steve Austin and that is before the inflation from 1973.
I am in favor of Steel, Smith and Dellandrea as the 4th line but Benn and Pavs would need a facilitator center and that is not Faksa, which is why I like Borque or a trade.

So who is coming from Cedar Park to take Dadonov’s place? Mav or Logan or somebody else?
No one. Dellandrea will be in the lineup and, unless there is an injury, nobody will be called up.
