Someone not named Mikko has to step up. Wyatt is the only other Star to score in 3 games. Time for guys to help Rantanen carry the load. And it's time for Miro to be in the lineup.

Top line is set, pick the best guy to play with Johnston and Robertson. After that just make sure the liabilities are minimal. It feels like one of Benn Marchment and possibly even Seguin or Duchene is an odd man out and at best should be getting 4th line time. I hesitate to say that even because I’m not faulting the 4th line.

I'd put Rantanen out with Steel and Blackwell. Probably just me, but I'm getting serious Phil Esposito vibes from Rantanen and what he needs is two guys banging in the corners centering it out to him to shove down the goalies throat. Putting him with Robo and Hintz wasn't working because we ended up with 3 guys in front of the net calling for the puck.

I still think it's worth keeping Mikko & Roope together as a winger set (Hintz is a natural LW) while giving rotating starts to our center depth.

That crazy speed combined with the east-west cunning of Rantanen would be a deadly combo that can plug and play with the majority of our center depth working as puck hounds for them.

Double down on the idea with Robo & Wyatt if you want to keep a non stop onslaught of offense on the go.

Get Mushy Dutch Donuts to hold down the 3 and use the veteran savvy of Benn-Granlund to build a new base pair 4th line.

Back, Blackwell, & Steel combined with the new found 4th, gives Dallas an abundance of zone start peices to keep those 1-2 winger sets buzzing all game.

Hoping that the Miro chicken game might be over. You can’t help but think that they are holding him back seeing if they can win without him which of course gives them more heal time.

Jets got all their players back and it made a difference. Agree with all comments about it being a bit closer in reality than it seemed but it also felt like the game was over at 2-0, 3-0.

Time to get Miro back in.

I was thinking the same thing. Why play him if you can sneak wins while he’s getting better. But in his first game back, is there a world where he plays less than 24 minutes? Ideally they’d try to ease him back in, but that isn’t what hockey does.

The Stars are getting beat on the boards and corners just like in the Avs series. Instead of the Stars moving the puck to the neutral zone with 1 pass they are making 10 foot passes to another player who has a Jets player draped all over him. They have always been no better than middle pack on getting the puck out of their zone but it was even worse last night. If the Stars weren’t controlling the dot it might have been 10 zip.
