Otter had a bad year any way you look at it. Yeah he needed more defensive help but his big problem was soft goals and not guarding the crease. Will he get better I hope so. Iam not sure about the Stars goalie coaches because they are never talked about so I am not sure if we need help there or not.
What kind of team is Dallas? I was making a QB comparison for the teams last night, but really couldn't figure out Dallas.
EDM - Cannon for Arm QB. These are the guys who can score on you at will, but if you get into their heads, they shutdown.
FLA - Multi-threat guy. They'll beat you with their arm, they'll beat you with their legs. In order to win, you have to force them to abandon one and only do the other (for the Panthers, that means just being pests)
NYR - Thinker QB aka Tom Brady. If you let them play their game, you will be losing
MIN - Option QB. Don't worry about anything other than them going straight after you with physicality
DAL - I feel like they are the 1+1= 1 type, they have so many tools, but they don't always build upon them to fully take advantage. They are a high skill team, that doesn't pass well. They are a breakaway team, that doesn't have a ton of speed. They are a crazy depth team, that ends up relying on 2 or 3 guys. They are being driven by their youth, 2 of which got as many playoff games as regular season games while another saw 2 min a night. It is like PDB is telling them to do everything, which is just as good as telling them nothing.
There are plenty of other types, the problem being me getting back to work.
This is the truth. While I would have loved to see a Dal-Fla matchup, Edm earned it...except for game 6. I think that the two posts in OT Gm1 caused the entire team to quit trying to pick corners, which resulted in them hitting Skinner vs Skinner making big saves. Just my $0.02
But… I’d like to see what a healthy playoff Hintz could do!!!
