wow, just wow....we will have to outscore our defensive stuggles. Most worried about tired Harley and tired Lindell come playoff time....we need mIro back

I'm going to need an over/under for the Robo-Hintz-Rantanen line for total ppg average. Because I want to take the over, no matter how high it is.

Gonna miss the hell out of Stank. He's going to be great in Carolina, though.

DeBoer really likes his 2 center lines with a lefty and righty. Can't see him playing an all lefty line. Makes sense to run him with Wyatt if Wyatt isn't 1st line RW.

What a day... going to need a new forward-looking cap analysis now. How does this trade and the Wyatt extension affect our roster plans for next year and beyond?

On top of this, Nill just extended Wyatt Johnston for 5x8.4M. This is a pretty decent days activity.

I hope it turns into a cup,for the Stars even next year if not this one. At first I thought Borque wasn’t what he showed last year but the more I watched him I am glad we were able to keep him. He is much like Wyatt in that he is in the right spot more than not. So far he hasn’t got the puck in the net as much as I would like but if he keeps getting in the right spots they are going to come.

This is an unreal move by Nill. Time to find the best fit-Chemistry for Rat. The best part is as much as everybody loves him, we only lost Stanky… and 2 picks with 50/50 chance of making impact in NHL and 2 picks that are prob closer to 25% chance of doing so.

What we got was a top of the league scorer!!! Which besides a good goalie, scoring us the hardest to do as teams close up their D and refs swallow their whistles in the playoffs!!!

One of top trades by Nill.

ALL IN!!!

Does Benn work better as an LW/C option with Hintz-Rantanen, considering the RW/C options available for Robertson-Johnston?

I’ll just comment here that I thought the Stars could make it work with the RHD if Miro came back at 80% once the power play was fixed. The power play will be even better now, the PP is very solid and the goaltending is way above average. I’m feeling pretty good rn!

What does the top unit look like now? Is it Johnston or Duchene that sits? I’m guessing it is Matt going to line 2. Btw PP2 is Duchen, Benn, Granlund, any chance they run 5 fwds and have marchment, bourque and or Seguin on the line. Oh the joy of these problems.

I haven’t done the math, but if Miro and Seguin come back in playoffs we are going to be WAY over the cap. How do we feel about that?

Cap doesn't count in the playoffs. The ol' Mark Stone-aroo.

This is my point, how do we feel about being the next Vegas?

(Some) Stars fans need to accept the fact that they're either giant hypocrites, or maybe the rule makes (some) sense. I despised the rhetoric around Mark Stone "not really being injured."

I think it absolutely needs tweaking. Contenders shouldn't have to call it a season just because of a major injury, but it shouldn't be something that can be exploited in such heinous ways either. Not sure about the logistics, but it was Nill himself in an interview with The Athletic whose idea was pretty much 'you can go over the cap, but your lineup on the ice can't.'

personally I never was mad about Vegas or Tampa before them with Stamkos. The current rule makes more sense to me than a playoff cap that would be a nightmare because you don't know how many games or days there will be.

We have a cup in the past two years if we didn't face teams that leveraged this loop hole. Our chance to cash in and take it.
