Much appreciated Gerald.

Man why you gotta tease us like that with the “thing” they’re missing that gets them over the hump?

Great stuff David.

Thanks Justin (...as always)!

Agree with other comments on you, Sean and Robert being our saving grace for Stars coverage!

Suggestion for donation options ... In-Sync Exotics in Wylie. They are a wildlife Animal rescue (big cats mostly) and education center.

Nice! Thanks Erik.

The summer programming sounds awesome. You and Sean and Robert T. have been fantastic in stepping in to the void of Stars coverage, and it's so much better than big publications.

For donation ideas, my son played in the Boston Memorial Cup and we visited the New England Aquarium. Their facility is outstanding and their conservation efforts are amazing. Same with Mote Marine Labs in Florida. I think either of those would be a very worthy donation.

That's awesome. Checking these out now. I might try to keep a list via Note throughout the season - maybe get more people to chip in who want to chip in.

This is not a critique but rather a suggestion. After reading your "Note", I have a more in-depth understanding of what sG is because I took the time to read the informative description. Some will not and, I know at least for myself, some will forget what it is trying to parse. My thought (that's all it amounts to) is perhaps to include the one piece of the note that gets to the "nut" inside the article so readers less privy to analytics at least get a sense of the concept witout full details.

For instance, if talking about sG maybe something in parentheses included in the article like what is already in the Note. i.e. when discussing a player's sG in the future add "(The question sG attempts to answer: What is the scheduled value of a player, from shift to shift, once we isolate their impact from outside influences?)" That sums it up nicely, is a reminder to us students, and a tip-off to those yet enrolled.

Yes, this makes writing more cumbersome. Sorry. It just may help some. Maybe not. You almost certainly aren't looking for this feedback so I'll go back to my corner.

Love all three of y'all. Not much good Stars coverage without'cha. And lot's of amazing coverage wit'cha.

I like this idea. My original idea was to simply have some evergreen copy that has the link that I could just throw underneath a graph. I.E. "Don't understand this chart and need someone dumb to decipher it for you? Then click here!" So The Notes will just pile up on the side. Then anytime I link to a graph using the data, I'll link back to the Note explaining it. It's a weird process (do people get notififications when I post Notes?), but that's the only thing that made sense in my head.

I personally didn't see the Note until mentioned in this article. I might have missed it though. Also, the one sentence breakdown followed by a link to the meat of it would be bonkers good.

Again, so glad you two are back at this thankless task.

Anyway, my corner seems empty again. I should really tend to it.

Thanks for all the great content.

As for the missing stuff, IMO we are missing one or two players that would bring some edge/grit/physicality. A player like Bennett comes to mind. These guys also have an effect on the entire team, and especially those who would not not usually be physical.

Hockey is highly physical but it's also a sport where intimidation can have a huge impact (positive or negative) on a player's performance.

And with that, I will leave you with a virtual one on one trade: Robertson for Brady Tkachuk.

Oh man. I'll leave that street fight in the comments.

FYI: In case anyone's sensibilities were aroused, no, I'm not vegetarian. Nothing wrong with those who are, by the way. But it seems like all my favorite things in life are things I struggle with, and eating meat is no different. Before they went to the Pearl and sold TF out, Chiliquil had the best carne asada taco I've ever had in my life. Seasoned to perfection, and on that maiz azul bread blanket? DAMN. Now they're just like every other Tex Mex spot in San Antonio, relying on cheap production hoping your taste buds won't notice. I'm not sure why I'm telling anyone this. I just miss what was the best taco truck in the state.
